The Nyami Nyami is one of the most important gods of the Tonga people.
Nyami Nyami is believed to protect the Tonga people and give them sustenance in difficult times. 
Variously described as having the body of a snake and the head of a fish.

The Geological Approach: 
  • An intricately carved and well detailed 'Nyami-Nyami' Carving.
  • Beautiful soft green to yellow tones  of the Butterstone.
  • White to grey banding of the stone too.
  • Small specks of brown-black Stromatolites are scattered through out the stone.
