This is an awesome specimen of green Chrome Chalcedony. Chrome chalcedony is a variety of chalcedony that gains its color from trace amounts of chromium. Depending on where it comes from, it may have different names such as 'Mtorolite' or even 'Chiquitanita'.

Geological Terminology:
  • A beautiful specimen of sub-opaque and green Motorolite from Zimbabwe.
  • This piece is matte and its colors vary from dark green to lighter green.
  • The specimen also has irregular textures and white waxy residue which we refer to as frost.
  • Quartz drusy is visible in one of the vugs of the piece.
  • This specimen is also UV reactive and glows dull green.
