This piece is quite something! This is a specimen of 2 intergrown Lavender Fairy Quartz, consisting of smaller secondary vitreous and prismatic crystal growing on the main crystals. It also has a beautiful dream coat (iron staining) giving it a beautiful reddish-brown hue.

Geological Terminology:
  • A sub-opaque, vitreous and beautiful Lavender Fairy Quartz Specimen from South Africa.
  • Consists of 2 generations of crystals growth : primary crystals and secondary smaller crystals growing on the main ones.
  • The colors vary from pale purple to reddish brown.
  •  Iron staining, also known as dream coat can be seen on the piece, giving it its reddish-brown color.
  • One of the main crystals has contact damage to it.
  • Both of the main apexes have some damage to them.
