Waxy Calcite crystals sit on a glittering drusy coating over the dark grey Manganite and Golden Pyrite crystals.

The Geological Approach:
  • Sub-vitreous, translucent to sub-opaque milky white Calcite.
  • Matte, opaque, grey Manganite.
  • Minor metallic, brass-yellow Pyrite has developed on the Manganite surface.
  • Calcite and Calcite drusy has developed on the Manganite surface
  • Small vugs are present on the base of the Manganite matrix that contain rough Manganite crystals and Pyrite crystals.

  • In most cases, damage will be present from where the specimen was removed from it's parent material.
  • Sandy residue may be present.
  • Minor scattered chips to the crystal edges and faces may be present.
