Magnificent Smokey Quartz crystals have a stunning Smoky Gradient throughout the crystal body, where the apex of the crystals is the darker smoky tone.
The Secondary Smoky Quartz is Double terminated with smaller Quartz protruding. Intriguing Growth patterning can be seen on the Smoky Quartz surface too.

Geological Terminology:
  • Vitreous, prismatic, translucent Smokey Quartz crystals.
  • The two main Smokey Quartz crystals have intergrown in the shape of a Cross. 
  • Three Smaller Smokey Quartz crystals can be seen near the termination of the main Smokey Quartz. Minor opaque, white Feldspar can be seen on the Quartz surface. 
  • Growth interference can be seen on the crystal bodies. 
  • Internal stress can be seen on the edge of the Main crystal body with a Rainbow inclusion too.
  • Sandy Residue on the surface of the crystal.
  • Chips to the crystal terminations and edges.
