This cute specimen is a small vitreous cluster of Fairy Quartz consisting of a secondary growth of small prismatic crystals growing on the main crystals. This piece also has a pale dream coat, which is iron staining, giving it a beautiful pale reddish-brown hue, only adding to its beauty!

Geological Terminology:
  • A sub-opaque, vitreous and beautiful small Fairy Quartz cluster from South Africa.
  • Consists of 2 generations of crystals growth : primary crystals and secondary smaller crystals growing on the main ones.
  • The colors vary from white to reddish brown.
  •  Iron staining, also known as dream coat can be seen on the piece, giving it its reddish-brown color.
  • One of the main crystals has contact damage to it.
  • The apex of one of the primary crystals has Elestial patterning to its apex.
