Lovely patterning and banding of the Malachite can be seen from each face of the box.

The Geological Approach: 
  • Several polished, opaque, green Malachite slices have been glued together to create this box.
  • A beautiful lid has been carved to close the box. 
  • The Malachite patterning on the Lid of the box is reminiscent of contour lines. 
  • The base of the Malachite box has exceptional Malachite 'eyes' as well as a saturated green to black variation in color.
  • Beautiful light green to dark green banding of the Malachite. 
  • Minor fillings can be seen on the surface of the Malachite slices.
