A very intriguing and interesting piece! This is a specimen of semi-translucent White Cactus Quartz consisting of a secondary generation of crystals covering the main crystal. The secondary crystals on this piece are well defined and a little chunky.

Geological Terminology:
  • A semi-translucent, vitreous and beautiful White Cactus Quartz from South Africa.
  • Consists of 2 generations of crystals : 1 main visible crystal and secondary smaller prismatic crystals growing on the main crystal.
  • The colors vary from white to  slightly reddish brown.
  • Small speck of Iron staining is visible on the piece.
  • The apex of the main crystal is multi-terminated.
